A. I want to change my energy supplier can I do that and is it free?
Yes you can if you are a domestic customer you are normally on a 28 day rolling contract and yes it is usually free, unless you are on a fixed price or price protection deal where you may have to pay a cancellation fee but check the terms and conditions of your current deal first, if you are a business customer it is different depending with who you are currently with depending on the company you may have to give 120 days notice before your deal ends but contact us at iSwitch we can advise you on that but again check your current terms and conditions.
A. How can you get me a better deal?
That's easy as we are a broker we are able to offer you deals with various companies using our comparison service so we are not dealing with the one company, thus enabling us to get you the best deal possible.
A. Will I be signed up with you then and not my supplier?
No you will be with the company all we do is find you the best deal.
A. How long does it usually take to change supplier?
To change supply it usually takes 6-8 weeks if you are a domestic customer and if a business customer when your contract ends.
A. What is my S number and MPR number?
Don’t worry these numbers are on your bill and are easy to find the S number concerns your electric and it is your unique supply number at your address it is called a metering point administration number, and your MPR concerns your gas it is your meter point reference again unique to your address see below for details.
